Just make this annoying thing go away.
Most of us just delete these emails, but when Shannon Larratt did, he sent back a few questions. The result was a short interview with a typical Nigerian 419 scammer.
How did you get started with online scams?
It all started when I found out others where doing it. I believe online scams started due to the local scams out here in Nigeria. Since the internet is such a big place, people felt they could meet more people and rich one at that. Are you part of a group of people or do you work on your own?
I work on my own, but we do work in groups most times, just to make the victims believe at least. What would happen if you were caught?
I don’t know, I always try to be optimistic that I can never be caught.

Hi Julien,
Interesting to get into the pschye of one of the Nigerian scammers.
Most of it comes down to common sense. Money will come to you in large amounts as long as you put in the necessary physical as well as mental effort.
Thanks for sharing,
Ryan

It would be nice if people weren’t so gullible. It’s hard for me to believe that people would fall for this. But, I’m also not the type to buy a daily lotto ticket.
Maybe if everybody thought like this “Most of it comes down to common sense. Money will come to you in large amounts as long as you put in the necessary physical as well as mental effort” then trying to make gains through quick breaks or short cuts wouldn’t appeal to them. Non-utopia sucks.
