Black is the new black

Though the keyboard will get dirty quickly, my new Macbook is pretty cool. I basically got it for the extra-large hard drive (160 GB) and battery life. I’m terrible at plugging my computer in.

As bonus links, here were two great blog posts about quitting by Rick Schwartz and Seth Godin.

No, I’m not quitting anything. :)

Do you find it better than your old Powerbook? I have to start thinking about a new computer and while the MacBook looks interesting, the 13 inch screen and the graphics card (the lack of one really) make me think twice about it.

i’m not a huge graphic design guy, so i’m not particularly affected by the card. also, the resolution is the same as the old 15inch powerbook .. 1280×800 or whatever so, though you’re losing size, you’re not losing pixels.

The Macbooks are great machines. I bought my wife one for her birthday and she loves it.

I switched my own small business (video editing and scoring) from PC to Mac (although my hand was sort of forced due to Apple’s acquisition of Emagic some time ago) and haven’t looked back. We’re at 3 Macs and counting in only a couple of of months. (Software is more expensive than the hardware these days.)

That being said, if you’re looking for a good set of extra batteries for your mobile needs, you should check out batterygeek.net – they have some pretty powerful (and not too large) external packs.

Begging your pardon, but a guest a few weeks back on Net@nite with Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur announced that “Geek is the new black.”

    So you’ve got it covered.
